An exhibition celebrating the life of Liam McCarthy, the man who the McCarthy Cup is named after. The exhibition included a history of his life and how he established the McCarthy Cup. The cup itself was also part of the exhibition along with hurleys and jerseys of noted hurling stars. There were also medals won by Christy Ring and Jack Lynch and Christy Rings hurley. The exhibition was officially opened by Minister for Sport John O’Donoghue. All the artefacts were on loan from the G.A.A. museum in Croke Park.
