An exhibition of patchwork quilts From the Irish Patchwork Society.

The Irish Patchwork Society was formed in 1981.  From the outset the idea was that people with patchwork as a common denominator would be able to meet and learn together, share ideas and information and that all levels and styles would be welcomed.  Twenty-five years on the society continues to flourish and now has over 400 members.

This stunning exhibition celebrates the first twenty-five years of the Irish Patchwork Society.  It has toured throughout Ireland and  at the Festival of Quilts in Birmingham.  This is a colourful collection of twenty-seven quilts from an array of artists including Frances McCarthy; Jane Lloyd; Anne Moloney; Mary Palmer; Anne Marie Horan; Mary Deegan; Irene MacWilliams and Caroline Schofield among others.

The exhibition opens at Cork Public Museum, Fitzgerald Park on 14th March and runs until 18th April 2007.
