Painting Grant Scheme 2018 Shandon and South Parish

 Cork City Council announces details of the 2018 Painting Grant Scheme for Shandon and South Parish.

The aim of the painting grant scheme is to encourage investment in and improve the character and appearance of historic areas of the city as part of a wider regeneration programme, and to help instil pride and confidence in these neighbourhoods.

This City Council initiative forms part of a wider regeneration programme that includes the Built Heritage Investment Scheme and the Living City Initiative. More than 160 buildings have benefitted from the Paint Grant Scheme in the last four years.

The grant scheme is open to residential and commercial property owners. Successful applicants will be awarded 50% of the costs of qualifying improvement works, (i.e. painting, joinery and minor external repairs to render, gutters, downpipes, etc.), up to the maximum value of €1,250 per building.

Applications are now open until 4pm Friday 20th April 2018. Completed Application forms should be sent to the Planning Policy Section, SPED, City Hall.  For further information relating to the qualifying areas and application forms
