Interreg Atlantic Area Funding Win for Cork City Council

Cork City Council has been successful in four out of a total of seven EU funding applications under the Interreg Atlantic Area programme.

The projects relate mainly to economic development (Atlantic Food Export & Atlantic Digital Start-ups Academy), social innovation and social enterprise (Atlantic Social Lab) and heritage related tourism (Maritime, Military & Industrial Heritage of the Atlantic Area).  The projects are worth a collective value of €900,000 for the City Council. This brings our total current involvement in competitively funded EU projects in the city council to a value of €1,275,000.00.  The projects will kick off in the coming months and will be implemented locally in collaboration with stakeholders across this city over a two to three year period.  More information on the projects will be available in the coming weeks on the Economic Development/EU funding section of our website.  In the meantime for further information contact Eileen Crowley, EU funding coordinator at or at 021 4924785.
