Cork City Council wins Engineers Ireland Excellence Award 2016

Cork City Council’s work in bringing derelict and vacant properties back into productive use over the last two years has been recognised by Engineers Ireland.

The Council’s project won the Local Government initiative award category at Engineers Irelands Excellence Awards 2016. The award recognises the Council’s efforts to return over 800 properties to productive use between 2014 and 2016 with the support of the Department of Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government (DHPCLG).
