At 11am on Thursday 7th July, Lord Mayor Councillor Des Cahill opened a Book of Condolence in The Atrium, City Hall following the terrorist attack in the heart of Baghdad, which killed more than 200 people.
Lord Mayor Des Cahill said “I have opened a Book of Condolence to allow the people of Cork express their feelings for all the victims of this tragedy and to highlight our concern at the loss of life.This attack undermines universal human values. Our thoughts are with the families of the victims and survivors of this attack.”
The Book of Condolences will be available for signing for 2 weeks during regular office hours.
