Calling Cork City Marathon Volunteers

10th ANNIVERSARY

IRISH EXAMINER CORK CITY MARATHON

Be Part of Cork City’s biggest sporting event!

Marathon weekend is just a few weeks away and we’re looking for help in the lead-up to and on race day itself.

Many of you know what’s involved having volunteered in previous years.
For new volunteers here’s a little more information about what we need.

Registration – Sat 4th and Sun 5th June

On Saturday between 11am and 6pm and on Sunday between 12noon and 6pm the race participants come to the City Hall to register for the race and pick up their race pack. We need teams of volunteers on rotation during these hours to help with registration, hand out packs and welcome the runners to the event.

Race day at City Hall – Mon. 6th June

Between 7am and 4pm we will have teams of volunteers at the City Hall in the bag storage areas, helping to direct runners to the right buses and handing out the relay finishers medals.

Race day out on the course – Mon. 6th June

There are opportunities to help with stewarding around the course or at one of the 16 water stations. There might be a spot on the course close to where you live – a few hours during the day would be of great help.

If you can give you a hand at any stage, please contact us and let us know what days/hours you’re available. All help would be very gratefully received.
