Clontarf Bridge Closed

 

Clontarf Bridge will be closed to public traffic from Monday, 29th June 2015 to Sunday, 30th August 2015.

The temporary closure is necessary to facilitate the carrying out of bridge maintenance works.

Alternative traffic routes are available during the periodof the closure as follows:

Southbound traffic from Summer Hill and MacCurtain Street (N8) should travel via Lower Glanmire Road,

Water Street, Horgan’s Quay (N8), Custom House Street and Albert Street (N27) to Old Station Road and the

South City Link Road (N27).

Railway Street, from its junction with Lower Glanmire Road to its junction with Alfred Street, will be closed to

through traffic in both directions for the period.

Southbound traffic from Merchant’s Quay (N8) should travel via Anderson’s Quay, Custom House Street and

Albert Street to Old Station Road (N27) and the South City Link Road (N27).

Access to Clontarf Street will be maintained throughout, with exit via Lapp’s Quay and Connell Street.

Cork City Council regrets any inconvenience that may occur.
