Ireland's Biggest Coffee Morning in aid of Marymount Hospice

The Lady Mayoress, Ursula Shannon, hosted a Coffee Morning in the Millennium Hall, City Hall, on 15th September 2011 in aid of Marymount Hospice, Curraheen, Cork.

The event raised a total of €4,606 for Marymount Hospice. There were many voluntary helpers on the day which was well supported by City Council members, staff and the general public.

Choirs from  Bunscoil Chríost Rí Cailiní and Bunscoil Chríost Rí Buachaillí performed for the assembled audience. Christ King Girls Secondary School String Quartet also performed, while secondary schools from the Turner’s Cross area assisted with the smooth running of the event on the morning.

The Lady Mayoress also expressed her appreciation that the people of Cork had supported the event as fully as they had in the past and raised much needed funds for the organisation.
