Lord Mayor's Civic Awards 2011

At a special ceremony held on Tuesday 19th April in the City Hall, the Lord Mayor Cllr. Michael O'Connell presented the Lord Mayor's Civic Awards.

The ceremony began with the presentation of the Lord Mayor’s Civic Awards to the following six recipients:

  • Brendan Murphy - In recognition of his 69 years service & inspiration to Dolphin Rugby Football Club.
  • Pauline O’Leary - In recognition of her tremendous commitment and dedication to the elderly in the Farranree Community.
  • May O’Connell - In recognition of her immense contribution and lifetime service to young people through Ógra Chorcaí and the Blarney Street & Surrounding Areas Community Association.
  • Kay Dunne - In recognition of her outstanding service and commitment to sport through the Cork Camogie Board.
  • Dan O’Leary - In recognition of his outstanding contribution and dedication to music over the years through The Cork City Male Voice Choir.
  • Frank Goulding - In recognition of his outstanding service and commitment to sport through the Cork Darts Organisation.

The Lord Mayor commended the individuals who
