Attendees at workshop on water production and conservation technologies hosted by Cork City Council and IBM.
On Friday March 25th 2011 a workshop on water production and conservation technologies was hosted by Cork City Council and IBM in the Water Conservation Offices of Cork City Council’s Environment Directorate.
Engineers and I.S. analysts from Cork City Council, Cork County Council, Cork Institute of Technology and others explored international best practice with experts from IBM research labs in Israel and Dublin. The event heralds the beginning of a collaborative approach to developing water infrastructure and distribution solutions in the Cork region.
Over the next number of months a series of pilot projects led by IBM engineers will be undertaken across both authorities with the goal of delivering significant savings in the area of energy and water conservation.
