Official launch the City of Cork Symphony Orchestra Concert in aid of the Lord Mayor’s Charities.

In the Lord Mayor’s Chamber, City Hall Cork, the Lord Mayor of Cork Cllr. Dara Murphy recently  launched the City of Cork Symphony Orchestra Concert which will be held on Thursday, 22nd April 2010 in aid of the Lord Mayor’s Charities.  

The programme will include the joyful overture from Mozart's Marriage of Figaro, Mendelssohn's moving Violin Concerto, soloist Keith Pascoe, and the inspiring New World Symphony by Dvorak. 

The charities which will benefit from the proceeds of the concert will be:

The Society of St Vincent De Paul , Hope Foundation, and Marymount Hospice. Representatives of the benefiting organisations (pictured above) as well as representatives of the orchestra attended the launch.

The fundraising Concert will be held in the Concert Hall, City Hall, Cork and tickets for the event are on sale in Pro Musica, Oliver Plunkett Street, Cork.
