UPDATE ON WATER SUPPLIES IN CORK CITY (17.00hrs Monday 11 January 2010)

Cork City Council wishes to confirm that water supplies remain interrupted in the following areas –

Parklands

Onslow Gardens

Richmond Hill

Assumption Rd

Rathmore Rd

Commons Rd

Dublin Hill

Redforge Rd

Ballyvolane

Glen Heights

River View

Meadow Park

Alternative supplies are available from standpoints established as follows

Kilbarry IDA, Dublin Hill

Blackpool Church

Knockpogue Avenue

Gurranabraher Church, Catherdral Road

Old Market Street (Off Blarney Street)

Standpoints will be operated from 6.00pm to 8.00pm this evening ( Monday 11th Jan) and again from 10.00am to 6.00 pm tomorrow (Tuesday 12th Jan).

People are asked to bring their own containers and, as a precautionary measure, the water should be boiled before use.

Council Repair Crews are continuing to work throughout the evening on restoring supply to the Mercy Hospital.
