The City Council advises customers that flooding occurred at the Lee Road water treatment plant in the early morningas a result of severe flooding.

In addition customers in other areas may experience fluctuations in pressure and discolouration for a period of time.
The extent of the damage to the water treatment plant can only be fully assessed when the water levels recede. however it is expected that city supplies will be affected for a number of days.
Arrangements will be made to bring emergency supplies to the affected areas and further details will be issued through the local media throughout the day.
