Civic Amenity Site at Kinsale Road - public announcement

Cork City Council has confirmed that landfilling of waste at its Kinsale Road Landfill Site ceased as and from 15th July 2009.  However Cork City Council wishes to assure that its facilities for use by the public at the Civic Amenity Site remain unchanged.

 Services/facilities for the public at the Civic Amenity Site at the Kinsale Road location will continue as before. The Recycling Centre, compost facility and timber recovery facility, will remain open to accept a range of material for disposal and recycling. Domestic waste, green waste, timber waste and recyclable material will therefore continue to be accepted from householders at the present charges. Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) will also continue to be accepted free of charge from householders.

The opening hours remain as follows:

Mondays to Fridays:                            8.00am to 3.45pm

Saturdays:                                           8.00am to 12.45om

Sundays and Public Holidays:              Closed
