Irish crew wanted for Clipper Round the World Yacht Race 09-10


Following the recent announcement that Cork will be fielding an entry in the Clipper 09-10 Round the World Yacht Race, race organisers, Clipper Ventures Plc, are looking for local crew to get onboard and represent their region on a global stage.

As the world watches professional yachtsmen battle it out in both the Volvo Ocean Race and the Vendée Globe, aspiring ocean racers can turn their dreams into reality by competing in the only global yacht race open to everyone, regardless of their sailing ability.

 More than 1,750 people have already achieved their ambition with the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race and race organisers are currently recruiting Irish crew for the next edition of the race, which starts in September 2009.

Clipper crew recruitment manager, David Cusworth, will be holding presentations in Cork this week for those who are excited by the idea of representing their nation in this global event and who wish to find out more.

Royal Cork Yacht Club, Crosshaven, Co. Cork

Thursday, 26th February 2009 @ 6 p.m.

Imperial Hotel, South Mall, Cork city
