Library Link service to housebound wins Excellence in Local Government Award

Chambers Ireland, in association with the Department of Environment, Heritage and Local Government, presented Cork City Council with an Excellence in Local Government Award at a ceremony in Dublin on 6th November 2008.  The Award was made for the Library Link service to housebound library users. Councillor Dara Murphy accepted the trophy on behalf of Cork City Council / Cork City Libraries. Councillor Murphy was accompanied at the ceremony by Valerie O'Sullivan, Director of Services, Recreation, Amenity & Culture and Cork City Libraries staff Sinéad Feely, John O’Sullivan and Gerda Ryan.
