Redesigned “Cork Past and Present” online services from Cork City Libraries

As part of the expanding eLibrary services, Cork City Libraries recently redesigned its online Local Studies services. eLibrary Services are playing a central role in making library services available to an increasing number of users. The new www.corkpastandpresent.ie pages allow multiple and simultaneous access to images and text, which would previously have been impracticable. Users with physical access problems, e.g., due to difficulties of transport or opening hours, can now instantly access the growing amount of information being added to this site. Students from first to third level, local historians, and anybody interested in Cork can enjoy more convenient access to online maps, photographs and interesting text now available at www.corkpastandpresent.ie.
