Civic Reception for Cork Golden Globe Winner Jonathan Rhys-Meyers



City Manager, Joe Gavin and Lord Mayor Cllr. Deirdre Clune welcoming Golden Globe Winner Jonathan Rhys-Meyers to Cork City Hall.


On 31st January 2006 The Lord Mayor of Cork, Cllr. Deirdre Clune hosted a civic reception in the Council Chamber, City Hall, Cork to honour the Actor Jonathon Rhys-Meyers to mark his success in achieving a Golden Globe award for his portrayal of Elvis Presley in the Mini-series ELVIS on American television.


Mr. Rhys-Meyers is currently appearing in the Woody Allen movie Match Point and will begin shooting a mini-series for the BBC on the early years of King Henry VIII of England.
