NATIONAL DAY OF COMMEMORATION CEREMONY ON SUNDAY JULY 14th 2013


The National Day of Commemoration Ceremony, to honour all those Irishmen and Irishwomen who died in past wars or on service with the United Nations, will be held this year on Sunday, 14th July at Fitzgerald’s Park, Mardyke, Cork City. The ceremony will commence at 11.00 a.m.

This is the third year that Cork City Council will host the ceremony which is open to members of the public to attend. Attending the ceremony will be local public representatives, Members of the Defence Forces, Religious leaders, community representatives.

Ceremonies are taking place simultaneously in Dublin, Limerick, Waterford, Galway, Kilkenny, Mayo and Sligo.  The ceremony in Dublin is taking place in the Royal Hospital Kilmainham and will be televised live on RTE TV.
