The Lady Mayoress Coffee Morning in aid of Hospice

The Lady Mayoress’ Coffee Morning 2011 in aid of Hospice will take place on Thursday September 15th in the Millennium Hall, City Hall, Cork from 10.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. In keeping with the policy that all funds raised locally will stay locally, all proceeds from this event will go to Marymount Hospice, Curraheen, Cork.

Speaking at the launch of the event in the Lord Mayor's Chamber, City Hall on Monday September 5th, the Lady Mayoress, Ursula Shannon acknowledged the contribution made by the Hospice to the people of Cork and encouraged all Cork people to come to the Millennium Hall to support the event:

“Marymount Hospice is a much valued institution in Cork city. I doubt if there is anyone who does not know of a family, friend, neighbour or work colleague who has not availed of the services provided by the staff there. Now with the newly opened state of the art facility in Curraheen, the care that will be provided will be of an even higher standard than before.”

The Lady Mayoress acknowledged the support of the following companies and organisations for their generous support of this event: Bewleys, Barry’s Tea, CMP Dairy, Watkins Catering, Old Mill Confectionery, Nash 19, Healy’s Celebration Cake, Imperial Hotel, Brook Catering, Leonidas Chocolates, Brackens Bakery, Billy Mackesys Douglas Village Foods, Cup Cake Cottage, An Excellent Choice Caterers & Caherbeg Free Range Pork Ltd.

The Lady Mayoress also expressed her wish that the people of Cork would support the event as fully as they had in the past and raise much needed funds for the organisation.
