Lord Mayor receives Official Car from Ford Ireland

Following a tradition established in 1989, the Ford Motor Company recently delivered to the office of the Lord Mayor the free use of the company’s flagship car, the Mondeo Titanium 2.0 TDCI, for the year. By tradition the Lord Mayor's car is also the first car registered in the city every year.

Speaking at the handover of the keys by Eddie Murphy MD Ford Ireland, the Lord Mayor Cllr. Michael O Connell stated:
“Ford are continuing a tradition that goes back a number of years. I am delighted they have come on board again this year supporting the City Council and the Lord Mayors office.”

Ford, whose Irish headquarters are in Cork, remains the most popular car company in Ireland.
