60,000 enjoy Cork's St. Patrick's Day Parade

St. Patrick's Day Parade Grand Marshall

Up to 60,000 people lined the streets of Cork city on St. Patrick’s Day to enjoy the Parade which was the culmination of a three day Festival presented by Cork City Council. With the maritime theme, Ships to Shore, the Parade featured boats, sails and multi-coloured floats as up to 2,100 participants from voluntary, community, sports and arts groups took to the streets on this national holiday.

Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th March welcomed up to 25,000 on the Grand Parade and Board Walk, South Mall to enjoy food and crafts at the Barry’s Tea Food Market as well as live music, circus walkabouts and kids workshops. The Festival was proudly supported by Cork Airport, Barry’s Tea and media sponsors RED FM and the Evening Echo.
