The map of Cork City is divided into 73 tiles. Each tile is divided into 4 sub sections A,B,C & D. The diagram indicates the relationship between the sub sections of the tiles. This information is very useful when trying to match street/estate names with the maps.
This index lists street names in alphabetical order and the alphanumeric reference indicates the appropriate grid square. Example: 31A Saint Patrick Street. Due to the limitation imposed by scale it has not been possible to include all street names on the map. Most unnamed streets on this map have numbers, which appear after their grid references. A list of such streets appear as Street Nos in the menu underneath the map. Select Street Nos. A new "remote" window will open displaying the names of the streets associated with the numbers in the map. Example: 44B 6Cherry Drive. Locate tile 44B and 6 is indicated as Cherry Drive.
