Transport for Cork City

Transport for Cork City is designed to create an attractive, accessible and sustainable city centre environment for residents, workers, shoppers and visitors through more efficient management of traffic on city centre streets.

On Thursday 9th August, a bus corridor was introduced on St Patrick’s Street between 3.00pm and 6.30pm every day, and the use of the street – for that period only – is now limited to buses, taxis, emergency vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists.
Significant improvements to bus journey times will result from these changes. Motorists who need to travel into the city centre will also find it easier and quicker to get around, thanks to improved traffic flows along the city quays.
