Meet Sinbad and his Sea Pirates (4.30pm to 5.30pm) for face painting and storytelling. At 5pm, come to a behind-the-scenes tour of this Victorian theatre (prebooking essential). Join singer/songwriter Elaine Dowling at the Everyman Bar (From 6.30pm to 7.45pm).

Dance it up at the Firkin Crane. Explore this unique building in the heart of Shandon and join in a variety of free taster and drop in classes all evening ranging from hip-hop, Swing, Charleston, Ballet, Breakdance, Aerial Workshops, Bellydance, Flamenco, Musical Theatre, and Acting. Performances on the hour by the Students of Colaiste Stiofain Naofa, Cork School of Dance, Performers Academy and the Flying Dance Company. Just come along and take part or just observe on the night.

Take part in story-making workshops for children (aged 5-10) and their parents (5pm to 7pm). Create original stories together – just turn up “once upon a time” and join in until the next “happily (or not!) ever after”! Teenagers and adults can visit rehearsals of our autumn production, Shape of a Girl.

Set up in 1945 by the late Joan Denise Moriarty, visit the Studio featuring ballet costumes and photographs on display and join a children’s ballet workshop (5.15pm) or enjoy ten minute dance performances at 6pm, 6.30pm, 7pm and 7.30pm.
