The historic Church (1722) and Tower (1752) are part of the Cork landscape. Climb the tower for the most spectacular views over the city. The church contains a baptism font dating from 1627, a collection of old books and some fine 19th century stained glass. At 8.00 pm a short talk will be delivered on the history of the church.

Designed by noted architect E.W. Pugin, St Peter and Paul’s Church is architecturally one of the finest in the city. On Culture Night, the church will be open until 7pm and an organ recital will be performed at 6.30pm.

Antoin O Callaghan will give a talk on this Early Gothic Church and its spectacular stained glass windows. He will also outline specific events which occurred throughout the Church’s history. The origin of the unique Stations of the Cross will also be presented. Talks at 7.30 pm and 8.30 pm.
