Service Name Dog Licences and Dog Breeding Establishments Registration
Opening Hours 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
Cost of Service

Annual Licence: €20.00 available from all post offices and from Cork City Dog Pound or Dog Warden.

Lifetime Licence: €140.00 available from Recreation, Amenity & Sport Office, City Hall, Cork, phone 021 4924731 and 4924333.  This licence covers the entire life of a dog, for however many years that may be.  It is non-transferable and no part of the fee is refundable.

Group Licence: €400.00 for any group of 20 dogs or over, not requiring registration under the Dog Breeding Establishments Act 2010. Note: all the dogs licensed must be kennelled at the same address.

Dog Breeding Establishments Registration: €400.00 and upwards for any premises where more than six bitches capable of breeding (taken to mean more than six months old and unspayed) are kennelled.  Charities and Hunt Clubs are fee exempt, but must still obtain registration.  For further information please contact Recreation, Amenity & Sport Office at 021 4924187.

With effect from 31 March 2016, all dogs must be microchipped and registered on an approved database.
