Mahon Sports Project
The sod was turned by Minister Michael Martin and Lord Mayor Cllr. Deirdre Clune on 3rd February 2006 to mark the commencement of Mahon Sports Project, a € 3m development of 7 grass pitches by Cork City Council, Cork County Camogie Board, St. Michaels GAA Club and Blackrock National Hurling Club, together with 4 All Weather Pitches and Changing Pavilion by the Council.
