Reception For Irish Dancing World Champions

The Lord Mayor Councillor Deirdre Clune received Irish Dancing World Champions Chloe O 'Leary (Douglas), John Lonergan (Ballyphehane), and Megan Noonan (Monkstown) along with their teacher Maria Kiely-Walsh from the Kiely-Walsh Academy of Irish Dancing.

The achievements were attained at the 2006 world championchips in Belfast held during Easter Week.

John Lonergan: World Champion 12-13 Boys , Chloe O'Leary and Megan Noonan : World Champions in Mixed Céilí Championship U13.

All are pupils of the Kiely-Walsh Academy of Irish Dancing based in Carrigaline, Douglas, Mahon and Rosscarberry.
