Welcome to Cork Culture Night 2010, taking place Friday 24th September
Now in its third year, Cork Culture Night looks set to be the biggest and best yet with over 60 venues taking part and over 20,000 people expected to visit an eclectic series of exhibitions, performances, workshops and other diverse activities taking place from early evening through to late night in venues across the city.
This year, art curators and venues have let their imagination and sense of fun run riot, with hundreds of extraordinary cultural events planned to run throughout the day and late into the night and early morning to keep people enthralled and entertained.
The majority of the venues are within walking distance of the City Centre, and once again Bus Eireann will provide ‘hop on, hop off’ buses that will transport people for free all over the city on the Cork Culture Night trail. The Bus Eireann buses will be alive with a festival atmosphere with ‘culture buskers’ on each bus entertaining passengers as they travel from venue to venue.
Check back shortly in September when a full programme of events will be available.......
