Come and join us for Cruinniu na nÓg at a taster workshop for Theatre Making & Citizenship Cork – Young People at Millenium Hall.

Theatre Making & Citizenshop Cork - Young People (TMACC-YP) is a series of fun, free, youth-led and inclusive theatre making workshops, culminating in a sharing of work by the young people to an invited audience of family and friends in The Everyman theatre.  It is an important part of The Everyman’s youth engagement programme in collaboration with YMCA Cork. During weekly afternoon sessions, young people are introduced to cultural citizenship and theatre through conversation, engagement and creation, thereby enriching their sense of place and belonging in Cork’s theatre heritage as part of The Everyman community of artists. Participants are supported through dedicated engagement to become theatre makers themselves – explore writing, devising, designing, technical craft and performance as well as engaging with live theatre and performance.

At the heart of this project are the ideas of citizen artist, the role of theatre, the young people’s voice and how they can shape the future of accessible theatre in Ireland.
